Kinect Capital is hiring a Community Analyst as an hourly contractor role for our organization. This person is critical to measure the impact our non-profit has upon the community. They will help us track our programs according to the funding source expectations and also help us understand the impact our programs have upon the community.
This person will be analyzing data to better understand the four facets to our community. The Entrepreneurs who receive our services and support – we need to measure who they are, where they are located, and how our contributions helped their business, especially around raising capital; the Mentors and Interns who help execute our programs – we need to understand more about them, how they have contributed to our community, and their satisfaction; the Capital Providers who engage with our community – we should know more about their offerings and who they want to connect with. Each of these parameters are defined and the targeted people are identified. The analyst will do their best to penetrate, capture, and report on these findings.
The Kinect team will provide direction to this person, however we seek someone with strong survey and analytical skills who can take these projects, target lists, and just run with the program, execute autonomously, and then present the findings to our leadership team. We consider this person to be a “leader-doer” who is a self starter, efficient, and trustworthy.
Community Analyst desired skills:
- Survey mastery. Know how to create, manage, audit surveys.
- Interpersonal communication skills. Strong written and verbal skills toward the community and the VCO team.
- Extrovert. High comfort level to call and engage with community members to capture insight.
- Data management. Care about the quality of data, standardization, and maintenance of data between different sources such as surveys to data processing to CRM.
- Programming. R or Python or other comparable languages to handle data correlations and analysis
- Strong math and correlation knowledge that’s relevant to survey response analysis. Data analyst jobs require basic math skills, specifically in statistics.
- Data processing platform ownership. Ability to identify, implement, and manage data processing and analysis solutions.
- Data reports and presentation. Create a comprehensive report on the data for internal and external decision makers.
- Ability to make ad-hoc reports.
Application Process
Please submit your resume, your contact information, a cover letter, and 2 references or 2 data projects to [email protected]
Please be prepared to communicate your involvement (at any capacity) you’ve had in Kinect Capital’s ecosystem, and what components of community analysis you believe to be important to study and measure.
