This Kinect Essentials panel is designed to provide valuable insights about the different valuation methods investors use, how to create and maintain a cap table, and best practices for negotiating with investors.
Valuations and cap tables are essential tools for entrepreneurs fundraising from investors. Valuations are used to determine the worth of a startup or business, while cap tables track the ownership and equity distribution among the company’s investors, founders, and employees.
In addition to the informative panel, this session provides an excellent opportunity for networking with like-minded individuals and industry experts. Meet Norris Krueger, PhD, Kinect Capital’s Idaho Lead Mentor.
Norris Krueger has guided over 90 companies as a mentor, a lead mentor, an academic expert, and an advisor through the Kinect Capital mentoring program for more than 15 years. Norris endlessly gives his time and support to entrepreneurs, while also grooming other mentors and interns about entrepreneurship, and directly contributes to Boise, Idaho’s startup ecosystem. Kinect Capital is grateful for his dedication.
Outside of his service, Norris co-organized Idaho’s first Startup Weekend, Idaho’s first regional coordinator for Idaho in the Global Entrepreneurship Week, and organized 1 Million Cups Boise, under the banner of Entrepreneurship Northwest.
Norris is affiliated with multiple universities globally including Distinguished Visiting Research Professor for Kyushu University, He has developed and delivered several innovative entrepreneurship courses, for example, the first on sustainable entrepreneurial ecosystems.
Norris is a Goal Champion for the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation’s ESHIP initiative to grow ecosystem building. He is also a leading academic expert on growing entrepreneurial communities and a much-decorated entrepreneurship educator and global consultant to OECD, EU and others.
