25 years’ of experience in corporate finance, accounting, financial analysis and reporting, including 6 years’ experience consulting in CFO / Controller roles. John currently serves on 3 non-profit boards and manages a client portfolio of over 20 companies, including 6 non-profit organizations.
After completing his MBA, he spent 16 years at American Express, where he was hired initially as a staff accountant, and progressed to director- and controller-level positions in multiple business units. His tenure included a 3-year assignment in Paris, France as finance director for a joint venture subsidiary in the Travelers Cheque business.
John also worked for Teleperformance USA for 8 years in accounting, budgeting and financial reporting roles. After starting his own consulting firm in 2015, he joined NowCFO as a Controller Consultant in 2018, and has since been promoted to Director / CFO Consultant.
During his career, John has split his time between accounting, finance, and business analysis roles. John is skilled in financial modeling, board package preparation and presentation, treasury management, foreign exchange, and project management. John has an MBA from Westminster College Gore School of Business and a BA in Finance from University of Utah Eccles School of Business.
