SALT LAKE CITY, UT — January 19, 2021 –  Venture Capital.org is pleased to announce two

Keynote Speakers for its 2021 Investors Choice Conference on February 26 at the Slopes Evnts Center in Draper UT. Investors Choice is a hybrid in-person and virtual event. The in-person conference will implement several COVID19 precautions including taking temperatures at the door and social distancing.

To begin the day, our first Keynote Speaker is Carine Clark, General Partner at Pelion Ventures.  Carine Clark is a three-time President and CEO of high-growth tech companies, specializing in helping companies scale from $10 million to $100 million. Her experience as a data-driven marketing executive at Novell, Altiris and Symantec led to leading Allegiance, MartizCX and Banyan as president and CEO. She attributes her success to building an abundant team culture and demonstrating that companies accelerate their growth when they multiply their people.

As a cancer survivor, Clark channels her deep appreciation for life and relationships into advocating for tech professionals paying it forward by mentoring young people. Clark serves on the Board of Directors at Domo (NASDAQ: DOMO), the Chair of the Board of GOED (The Utah

Governor’s Office of Economic Development), and Silicon Slopes, a non-profit organization that helps Utah’s tech community thrive. She has received numerous awards including the EY

Entrepreneur Of The Year® Award in the Utah Region and Utah Business Magazine’s CEO of the Year.

Our afternoon Keynote is a fireside chat with Kim Polese, Chairman at CrowdSmart, a collective intelligence prediction platform that uses human-powered AI to help teams make confident decisions. Tara Spalding, Managing Director of BoomStartup Accelerator will join Polese onstage for the Keynote interview.

Kim Polese began her career in Silicon Valley at IntelliCorp, the first public AI company, where she helped Fortune 100 companies implement expert systems. At Sun Microsystems, Polese led the launch of Java as its founding product manager. She has co-founded and led multiple technology companies including IoT software pioneer Marimba, where she served as CEO and Chairman, leading the company to profitability, an IPO, and a successful acquisition by BMC.

Today Marimba is Samsung’s IoT platform, delivering three billion endpoint updates per year to a wide range of devices, appliances, and vehicles globally.

Polese received her bachelor’s degree in Biophysics from the University of California at

Berkeley, completed a post-baccalaureate study in Computer Science at the University of Washington, and holds an honorary doctorate in Business and Economics from California State University.

Polese advises numerous early-stage companies and serves on boards including the Long

Term Stock Exchange, Silicon Valley Leadership Group, TechNet, the Public Policy Institute of California, and the Long Now Foundation. She is an Aspen Institute Crown Fellow and is the recipient of numerous awards and honors including Information Week’s “Top Technology

Executives” and Time Magazine’s “25 Most Influential Americans”.

In addition to our Keynote Speakers, Investors Choice features a pitch event at which 18+ CEOs will pitch their startups to the audience. Each startup has received several weeks of mentoring leading up to Investors Choice, and many will go on to raise capital following the conference.

Early Bird pricing ends at midnight, January 22nd. Tickets are available at www.investorschoice2021.eventbrite.com.
