The 2023 One Utah Summit includes a Startup Pitch networking event. This event features Utah’s best and brightest entrepreneurs with a networking session, an exhibit hall featuring vendors and young professionals, a mainstage speaker, comments from Gov. Cox. and a speed pitch competition.
The Startup Pitch competition is powered by Kinect Capital in partnership with Weber State University’s Hall Global Entrepreneurship Center. It is an entrepreneur speed pitch challenge where judges rank the best ideas, and the audience selects a people’s choice award recipient. Contestants are prescreened, and the top three deliver their business pitches at the summit. Startup Pitch finalists receive cash, in-kind prizes, and tickets to the summit, where they network with Utah’s business leaders.

Utah entrepreneurs, especially those who are under 30 years of age.

Acceptance
20 initial applicants to go through the accelerator. The top 3 will then pitch at One Utah Startup Pitch 2023 on May 1, 2023.
Applications accepted through March 3.
Expectations
4 weeks of mentoring by the Kinect Capital community members so they can succeed in the entrepreneur speed pitch challenge. Expect 3 hours work/ week.
Details
Private mentoring and pitch critiques. Great opportunity to network with mentors and event attendees. All cohort members pitch in a private forum to determine who the finalists are.
Outcomes
The top finalists will pitch live on stage on May 1 at the Davis Conference Center. Opening remarks by Gov. Cox. Finalists receive cash, in-kind prizes, and tickets to the Summit and get a great opportunity to network with business leaders
